LOCAL AFFAIRS Many thanks to everyone who helped with the 'get in' and 'get out'. Great teamwork. As Hannibal in the A Team said, "I love it when a plan comes together".
STORE REVAMP A gang braved the soaring heat on Sunday 3rd July to sort out the props and library at the Store in Newton St. Cyres. A team of strapping men built a new mezzanine floor to house props and library of sheet music, with dedicated space below to access the bar and new audience seating. The ladies took on the challenge of sorting through all the sheet music and props, and didn't notice their skin going from pink to bright red by the end of the day! A good day's work! Thank you to all that showed and helped in keeping CODS organised.

MUSICAL SELECTION - 2013 The Musical selected by the Society for 2013 is Brother Jacques.
This brilliant musical, set during the Napoleonic Wars, is the story of two brothers, French Prisoners of War, separated when very young at their mother's execution at the Bastille, their capture, imprisonment and parole. Needless to say, there's also a love story, several evil villains, cider drinking and a real guillotine thrown in for good measure. And a lot of it actually took place in Crediton!
